Thanks for stopping by to post the link and spread the news. MTV ran this news item about the auction, too. And today, the Orlando Sentinel published this article about the auction. You can see six photos that they took at the auction. And here is a link to their video account of the event. I also found this video clip at their site showing some of the items that were up for auction while a rep for the auction house rattles of some details about the event. And an Orlando Sentinel columnist wrote this article about the occasion.
It was nice to see that the auctioneers were surprised by the large turnout and interest in the items. They had to move the auction to a larger room to accommodate the crowd! By the way, the Orlando Sentinel has a nice little collection of articles about some of Lou's criminal behavior listed on this page of their site. They even have this video clip of agents serving/attempting to serve Lou at his mansion. (Try copying and pasting the link to your browser. I couldn't get a direct link of this to work.): http://video.orlandosentinel.com/global/video/popup/pop_player.asp?ClipID1=1240302&h1=Warrant%20served%20on%20Pearlman%20companies&vt1=v&at1=News&d1=77167&LaunchPageAdTag=News&fvCatNo=&backgroundImageURL=&activePane=info&playerVersion=1&hostPageUrl=http%3A//www.orlandosentinel.com/business/orl-pearlmansg%2CO%2C6281178.storygallery&rnd=3148559 I recall that many fans that were dismayed by the guys' decision to end their stint as O-Town. I hope that those devotees will get a better idea of just how true this key factor -- bad contracts that made it financially prohibitive to continue as a group -- attributed to their decision to break up. I truly believe that they gave the project their all and held it together even beyond the point where most would have quit. It's so sad to see that, in my opinion, Lou and a number of others associated with the project didn't commit as much to the project as the guys did. In my opinion, everyone involved would have enjoyed far more success with O-Town if they had invested more into it rather than looking at O-Town as short-term cash cow. It looks like karma has decided to bite Lou in his big ol' butt. I feel sorry for all of the investors and associates that Lou bilked for millions. Char |

Yes, it's true that the FBI finally caught up with him in Indonesia. Here's the story published by E! Online.
Char ETA: Here is another story related to the Lou Pearlman auctions. ETA: Here is another article about Lou's arrest. What made me laugh was this segment of the first paragraph that describes explusion from Indonesia: Quote: Shipped to Guam? My mind visualizes Lou being placed in a wooden crate or one of those shipping containers utilized by ships importing goods from overseas! |

Why Guam? Why can't they hold his trial in Florida?

According to the AP the hearing will be in Guam ( if I understood correctly, from 1 of the earlier article links, he was transferred there since it's a U.S. territory) but will be transferred back to Florida to face chares.
Didn't know about the auction before this (cheaper deals at Ashley's tag sale, no? Do you Lou would fit into only 1 box? |

Thanks for posting the update, Jill. If anyone is interested, here is a link to a page listing articles covering this news.
I found this article a bit amusing, as it points out that Lou spent his 53rd birthday, which was on June 19, in jail -- a stark contrast to his huge birthday bashes of years gone by. It looks like the party's over for Lou! And this article mentions that Lou was transported from Guam to Los Angeles in what was described as a "prison cell in the air," similar to the plane used in the 1997 film Con Air. Lou was wearing what is termed a "three-piece suit," which relates to the system of three restraints that shackles prisoners by the feet and around the belly while handcuffed. So it's Con Air instead of Trans Con now for Lou! Char ETA: This article in the Orlando Sentinel reports that Lou Pearlman finally arrived in Orlando today. While they don't mention the specifics, the writer mentions that Lou's transfer back to Orlando was fraught with delays and drama. I wonder what happened. ETA: I don't know if this would be the "drama" that the reporter that wrote the article linked above, but I found this item that points out the irony of Lou flying in via Con Air that used to contract planes from Lou a few years back. The item points out that if Lou's arrest and transfer had happened back in 2003 or 2004, he might have been transported via Con Air on one of his own planes. On the same page is a video clip that shows a Boeing 727-200 from Lou's private jet charter fleet, Planet Airways, sitting on a runway at Orlando International in its stripped down condition. |

Lou Pearlman was sentenced to 25 years in prison. The judge gave him the option to reduce his sentence by 1 month for every $1 million dollars he repays.
