Please don't be offended if I check for official confirmation of an appearance. Tips are often right... but sometimes... what someone assumes is a confirmed appearance turns to be something that O-Town is only considering doing. Or someone thought the act was O-Town, but it was Natural, etc. I want to do my best to check tips so that fans won't make extensive arrangements to attend an appearance only to find out that O-Town isn't there.
Tips that are pretty good bets are dates that appear on ticket web sites such as Ticketmaster, Pollstar and Tickets.com--or if a venue is advertising the concert on their web site or in newspapers or other ads. Concerts listed on radio stations' web sites are a good bet, too. Then there are web sites for TV networks or TV shows.
Sometimes a fan will have a friend or relative that has a tip because the appearance has something to do with the work they do. Then there are sources like other web sites, newspapers, magazines, J Records or Actual Management.
But the final word on appearances is... nothing can ever be 100% guaranteed. Stuff happens... events can get postponed or canceled.
In the true spirit of this community, I encourage you to share your tips and help each other by answering questions posted here. If you do a good turn for someone, it often motivates someone to return the favor. Being among the first to find out about appearances improves our chances of getting good seats... or even getting into events with limited seating. Thanks again for supporting each other and ultimately O-Town.
