I'm not sure what time it was but we saw a truck with 2 guys in it, again Whitney went over to her car to see who it was, it was Dan & Kevin. Whitney pointed and Dan pointed back and waved. She was really excited. So we were waiting outside and someone from the club came up and asked us if we wanted chairs or water, we just had to ask and if we wanted to go to the bathroom just go to the door and ask. We said we didn't need anything but they brought us chairs and water anyway, it was so nice we were shocked they were being so kind to us!!
We talked to this woman who was from Mass who had traveled all around the US to see 98* and she knew Jeff, Justin & their manager Chad. She told us lots of stories about her adventures and it was fun to hear about them.
So 8pm came and went and we weren't in the venue yet, so we were getting rowdy. We were all now lined up ready to go in and some people inside were sticking little flyers out the door and money to see if we would grab it...I almost got a 20 dollar bill! So around 8:40 they finally let us in, & b/c Whitney & I are under 21 we had to sign this form saying we wouldn't drink and the line behind us was going infront of us, we were flipping out b/c they had gotten there like an hour before the doors opened. After we signed the paper we had to go through a medal detector, and I had to go through like 3 times b/c I had change and stuff strewn around my purse. They finally let me through and they weren't letting anyone in the place where the stage was b/c they weren't ready yet. So probably around 8:50 we were let into the stage area. Whitney and I ran to the front row center! They were great spots!! But we weren't in for a concert for another hour and a half!!! While we were waiting I looked behind me and saw Dan's new promo picture and I was like aww there's Dan, then I realized that they were selling CD's there. I went over and bought one!!
Justin finally came out at 10:30 and he preformed about 6 songs and he had a ton of energy, he knew some of the girls in the front row so he was singing to them, cool guy. Nice voice.
Then it was Dan's turn, he came out and we were SOOOO excited!!! He sang some of his new material, and sang a song he made up backstage, it was quite good!! We all wanted to hear an O-Town song so he sang We Fit Together, it was fun to hear him sing that song! He sang another song off his album and then he told us he was going to play the piano. He told us a joke he made up the day before..."What does Gwen Stefani wear to bed? Her pajamas...p-a-j-a-m-a-s" It was wicked cute, we laughed. Then he sang All or Nothing, we sang along and he did a great job!! After that song he was finished
Jeff was next he sang 3 98* songs then 10 minutes after he was done Jordan came out, he sang a bunch of NKOTB songs, Whitney and I being 1 & 3 respectively in 1988 (when most of the songs he sang were released) had no idea what the words were. We were in the front row looking around like what is he singing?!?! After he was done it was the M&G (which cost $40) we didn't want to spend that money to meet Dan so we asked the girls we met when we were waiting in like to have Dan sign some pictures for us, Dan signed the picture of me and him from when I met O-Town in May 2002 in Lowell, MA. We waited outside for the girls to come out and when they came out they had our pictures and we were so excited to have gotten his autograph!!
We were really disapointed that Pufferbellies didn't allow us to use cameras so we got no pictures
After we said goodbye to the girls we went to the car and headed back to our aunt's house. We listened to Dan's CD on the way home, it's really good.
We got home @ 2am, we were sooo tired!!! The concert was so fun, and I hope that Dan comes back to New England soon so we can go see him again!!
Thanks for reading if you went to the show, post your review!!!
