ORLANDO, Fla. -- Stars from film, television, stage and the music world helped Disney World kick off two new attractions Wednesday, in an evening capped by a special appearance by entertainment legend Julie Andrews.

The first new attraction on tap Wednesday night was Mickey's PhilharMagic, a new 3-D film that allows its audience to smell and sometimes feel what's happening on screen.

"It was very exciting -- it's not so much about the movie as it is about what they've been able to create in terms of effects -- it's an experience," said Barry Williams, who was at the premiere with several of his fellow cast members from the television classic "The Brady Bunch."

The PhilharMagic Theater was decked out for the premiere, with special arrivals by Disney characters. "Kim Possible" and "Even Stevens" star Christie Romano and "Lizzie Maguire" star Jake Thomas helped introduce the attraction.

After the premiere, celebrities such as NSYNC's Joey Fatone, Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough, pop group Jump 5 and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" star Taylor Momsen roamed the red carpet. Pop and Broadway star Deborah Gibson was also there, and was ecstatic about the film's debut.

"It was a great walk down memory lane," Gibson enthused. "I loved the introduction of the smell-o-vision and the water sprays and the other interactive effects. It was great because three feet down in my row was a four year old enjoying just as much as I was enjoying it."

Also introduced Wednesday was "Wishes," a massive fireworks attraction punctuated by an orchestral accompaniment featuring "When You Wish Upon a Star" and several other classic Disney music themes, narration by classic Disney characters, and a breathtaking appearance by "Peter Pan's" Tinkerbell, played by an actor who's illuminated by glimmering neon lights while she descends upon the park on a high wire.

Andrews' appearance came in front of the castle at the Magic Kingdom, where she was introduced by none other than Mickey Mouse.

"Mickey spoke of family and I am so proud to be considered family by the lovely people at Disney," Andrews told the crowd.

The Brian Setzer Orchestra played prior to "Wishes," playfully rocking in front of the castle with his big band.

In top vocal form, Setzer channeled Johnny Cash with a tribute to the late country music legend with a cover of "Folsom Prison Blues." He also lit up the crowd with "The Stray Cat Strut" and "Rock This Town" from his former band the Stray Cats, and ended the night with his own be-bopping hit "Jump Jive."

The park is set to debut its highly anticipated attraction "Mission: Space" on Thursday with a ceremony that's scheduled to feature several NASA astronauts including Buzz Aldrin and James Lovell.

Hi Isla and others,
I have a little news - and I don't think Jackie would mind me sharing. I saw Brian's parents in Lexington on Sunday (yesterday). I have to correct you - Brian is SOOOO ready to be back as a Backstreet Boy. He really, really wants that to happen. He is also pursuing his solo gospel CD (just as many of the other guys have done in their selected areas). But as I've heard it said from many sources - it is VERY hard to get all 5 of them on the same page right now. But please don't think Brian does not want or is not ready to be back with the guys as Backstreet - he really is! I've heard this like 3 times now, from Brian himself on June 30 and from Jackie on a couple occasions. I am not going to say too much but he (Brian) is very much doing some things currently to try and make things happen but he can't force anyone of course. Let's just pray it works, keep your fingers and toes crossed. Brian is happy - he LOVES being a dad and a husband but by gosh - he also wants to be anxiously engaged in work and supporting his family - just like most dads. So please never think he isn't ready to be back in the studio with the rest of the guys. I would not say this if I did not hear it from a most reliable source. So let's wish Brian luck as he is truly trying to encourage and make it happen - but it has to be the right timing to be able to get all 5 in the studio. Brian's ready - he's MORE than ready, willing and able - he's doing some stuff toward that end - just can't say more because I don't know how it will turn out and this is not a major announcement. But it's hard after what I just heard this weekend to read that he is not ready when nothing could be further from the truth. And as I said, those at the Breakfast in June can attest that Brian said from his own lips - man I just wanna leave here now and head right for the studio to record. His love is music - he's not gonna let that go bye bye without a real effort. I am thrilled and hopeful though that he will be able to do his solo gospel CD - which as he says is his heart. It's what he has wanted for years. The first time I met his father - like 3 years ago - he actually told me this was something Brian always had in the back of his mind - so you go Brian. But he is still wanting Backstreet to record again - so let's hang in there. It saddens me that we can all get hung up on a word or phrase and get somewhat critical. It reminds me of how you are darned if you do and darned if you don't sometimes. He can't say it will happen and he won't say until he knows for sure, but if it is up to Brian - will there be ANOTHER BSB album - you betcha!!! Unfortunately - it's not "just up to him." This does not in any way mean there is any one individual in the way AT ALL - it means - it does have to be a group decision - I'm only saying I know Brian is praying it will happen.

Keep the faith, say a prayer and wish for some good things this week and always
