I apologize to everyone it was wrong of me to even mention it. What goes on in Eriks life or his familys life is their personal buisness. That would be wrong. I see the humor in the rest of these posts. Erik being a father and all that jazz. Oh and that people are all ready to put up a picture. Next thing you know they can't because they've been advised against it. First this picture was an aunt's and now a "source" said no. I mean, come on now. Let's be real, if whomever was soooo concerned about Erik-Michael's privacy, they wouldn't have mentioned anything at all. I knew there wasn't any credibility to these stories. The joke is on all in here that see the posts. I'm not trying to be rude, but it's a shame people would come in here to mess with his fans like that. Especially, after you said you'd look into it. I'm not trying to offend anyone or cause drama, but I just feel that our intelligence is being mocked here. I could be wrong Char, but that's just my opinion. I should have checked with all the parties before opening my big mouth and for that I am kicking myself. I was TOLD not asked not to post that picture. Now if you think that we are mocking your intelligence (this from a girl who spells break ,brake) then maybe your intelligent self shouldn't be on this board. It's true if Erik does have a child (I am in no way saying he does) then we should respect that he has kept it a secret for a reason and if he wants his fans to know then he will let them know. So Kathy, why don't you just simmer down and get off of stalker status and show a little respect rather then heckle the fact that Erik and Kirsten broke up, or ponder on whether Erik has a child and whom it may be with. Grow up and be more interested in his talent and what upcoming music he has for us. In the end isn't that what we all love Erik for, his talent and music...right? Cece

I can understand your point of view. There has been a long history of Erik posers -- and not only Erik posers, but those posing as his girlfriend or close friend or relative. The downside of Erik's elusiveness in recent years could possibly add fire to rumors and speculation, too. When we submit the info to sources who can bust posers, sources don't seem to mind being informed about these posers when we submit the info to them, and it is nice to resolve fans' questions. I don't mind presenting the rumors to our sources and giving them an opportunity to put them to rest. Char

No one wants to be lied to especially when it is about someone that they admire and look up to. I would never do that. I do have the picture and it is indeed Micki but thats that so lets put it all to rest now people. As for Erik and Kirsten I feel bad that they didn't make it as a couple because they both seem like two caring people with good hearts and I will remain a fan of both of them. Lets hope that just because they are no longer together certain o-town fans will turn on her and vice versa. Cece

Who knew one SIMPLE question would burst into all of this. lol But I'm going w/ what cece or whomever said...if he does or doesn't have a kid...it's really not our business. Although being such huge fans and the fact he's been pretty much the invisible man lately...I don't know ab/ the rest of you but when it comes to me...I thrive off of any piece of Erik news I get. Just b/c I want to know what's going on and when I can expect an album or something. Like the one girl that said she saw him in Applebee's...I flipped out just ab/ that b/c I miss him. So yes it's ok to be curious ab/ the whole thing, but then again don't get to the point where it's coming off as you being one step away from papparazzi (sp?). I just don't like seeing people argue when really this board is here for us to share little tidbits of news or stories of encounters w/ the guys. Us Erik fans got to stick together. xo Kimberly

It's great to come here and learn some news or read about fans' encounters. And, of course, IO has a good reputation for being rumor and poser busters. So it is understandable that fans will come here to post about some news, a rumor or someone saying they're Erik or one of his friends or a member of his family and ask us to help check out the validity. Actually, I think that we're all basically in agreement on this... the difference of opinions seems to come into play when readers try to guess motivations for posts or how savvy other fans are at determining for themselves if something is true or false. And one of the reasons we are all here is to help each other out by contributing the information we each might have to answer such questions. So I say, "No worries! It's all good! Let's just post legit questions and help each other find the answers!" I totally agree that we need to stick together! Char

When rumors are posted along with a request for verification, we convey the info to our sources and post whatever reply, if any, that we receive. We have never told the guys or our sources that they owe their fans information about their personal lives. And actually, I didn't get the impression that anyone here said that they thought that they were owed this information either. On the other hand, I can understand how some would like to see posers busted if they are putting info out there that isn't true or personal information that the one of the guys shared in confidence.
