IO crew what up???? Heather girl long time, no talk...hehe. I've been so busy!!!! So I'm an aspiring photographer and I seem to get great shots, but they're either burry or too far back and I saw that Heather mentioned a Cannon Rebel camera. I was wondering if you could give me a price range for one, or gave me some names of some other good cameras for concerts!!

Hey Niki!
Well - I got mine through Ebay.. so i got a really good deal - I got the body, 28-80 lens, camera bag all for $171.00 - it was a slightly used camera though. |

AQW, speaking of that whole San Jose airport incident and having your rolls of film "searched", whatever happened with the 20+ rolls of film? Were they damaged?

Is there a trick to photographing sunsets? I live very close to Lake Michigan, so I love to watch the evening sunsets. Whenever I take pictures, though, they turn out very dark. Do I need to use a filter on my lens? If so, what kind?

I have a question.. maybe you guys can help me.
I'm VERY interested in owning a professional camera.. I take a lot of pictures and I want them to turn out with great quality. I was wondering if you guys could give me your opinions on what camera is the best. Especially for concerts, because that is where I mostly take my pictures. Thanks! ~Christy

I remember somewhere in this thread there is a link to some cameras that AQW and or Debbie recomended, maybe try skimming through this thread to find it, that might give you a start.

Very true, Heather! I got mine after recommendations from AQW and Debbie...and every time somebody asks me about a camera, I say the Rebel as well (although it's called something different in the UK).
Maybe we should look into getting commission from Canon or something?

I am a hardcore Canon fan now - I finally broke down and bought a digital point-and-shoot, and you *know* I went with the Canon.
 I decided on the PowerShot S45 and so far I have been blissfully happy with it. Long live Canon! AQW

well.. i can't tell you what type of camera to buy.. only what my favorite (and the favorite of the rest of the IO Crew as well) is the Canon Rebel.

I owe two cameras. I have a Pentax (not sure about the make), its a point-and-shoot. I also have a Kodak DC3400 point-and-shoot digital camera.
