My point exactly, Cali. It's the supportive fans who have been there since the earliest days. (Without a loyal fan base you might as well be singing in the shower.) I know, as I said, it's his page and he can do whatever he wants but it seems like the deletions appear to be deliberate and that's seems kind of rotten to do to those (at least, we're trying our damnest, here) who have been nothing but supportive. One of the reasons I added him was so I could comment. I didn't even, like some, ask for (demand?) a reply. I could understand if didn't post ANY of my comments but that wasn't the case. He even OK'd earlier pic comments. Then he does an about face all of a sudden? At least I'm glad it's not just me. His page asks people to "spread the word." How ironic. He certainly needs the publicity. Yes I know, this is not a major world tragedy and the whole concept is for fun but what if I was, like a 10 or 11-year-old? I may have ranted too much here but is this any way to thank fans who want to show continued support and "spread the word?"

Anyone try commenting recently?

I NEVER asked for (as some fans do) or was looking for a return comment. My "thing" was his seemingly sudden 180 of not approving comments from some of his most loyal, diehard fans (ME included!) although he had done so until very recently. The fact that he's always shown himself to be a sweetheart is, as already stated makes it all the more perplexing; it seems out of character. I read the fan encounter and my 1st and overall reactions was that he was being, as usual, a really nice guy, his same, sweet self. (That's NOT meant to be sarcastic, by the way. Erik has always been known for being 1 of the sweetest guys around.) I guess I was just a little taken aback at what seemed like a very sudden reversal. Whatever his reason(s) he's certainly entitled. My feelings are more along the lines of disappointment and confusion than anger. I'm still a fan. I still haven't had the oppurtunity to meet Erik so when he got his page I saw it as a way (as I'm guessing alot of fans did) to show continued love,support & interest in his music.

As far as "getting the word out" I took it to mean that he just wants fans to know he's back and to let your friends know about him and his music. (although, in my mind, he never really left; it was more like a mini-hibernation.) As stated, I wasn't looking for a response. (If he tried to respond to so many of his fans all the time he'd never get out of the house!)


As to "singing in the shower" I just meant it's the loyal & dedicated fans who buy the albums and concert tickets and show up in droves to meet him; the same fans who wanna show that same sense of love & support via well-intentioned comments.

I've always adored and supported Erik since his O-town days. I'm just sorry that, at least for the moment, I can't tell him so.

I'm guessing that he might not even realize that some fans would even bother to check to see whether or not their comments were approved. He'd probably be surprised to know that it became a topic.

Erik's horoscope read, in part, "Have you let your flirting skills get rusty? Shame on you!..." Time for Erik to come to a town near you?!

Actually, one of the things that I always liked about him was his triumph over adversity. (Of course, those big, brown eyes and that voice don't hurt either.)
