A very good friend of mine was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. If you could keep both him and his family in your prayers, I would be so grateful and I know it would help.
I am saying a prayer for everyone that was listed in the posts above. Jane |

(((((Nicole))))) OMG! I'm SO sorry to hear of the tough time you had as a kid with tonsillitis. I have never heard of such a terrible case! I had it a number of times... and the doctor decided that I should have them out... so I know how painful it is. Francesca is doing quite well now. Thanks for your concern and understanding.

Okay guys, please pray for...
Our family friend, also one of my dads best friends. We have known him and his family for 10 years, and they are SO close to us. we just found out his cancer is at its worste right now, and the doctors said he has less than a MONTH left to live....  i dont know what to say...he hasnt told his sons that are my age the news.....and he is getting worse every day. My dad takes him places in the day, trying to get his mind off the cancer. My dad and mom have cried numerous times, and seeing my dad cry makes me so sad.. But please PRAY for this: They are trying one last clinic for him, this famous doctor who has cured many cancer patients...thank you for your prayers! -Mahsa |

Masha & Jane,
Will be thinking about your friends who have cancer. Char, That school year after i had my tonsils out I missed only 6 days of school compared to the 40-50 i used to miss. Having my tonsils out was the best thing that happened to me. I don't get sick that often anymore and if i do its a sinus infection and usually allergy related. Nicole |

I know what you mean, Nicole. I was out sick and missing a lot of school before I had my tonsils out. I've been much better off without them... but it sure hurt like crazy right after I had the surgery. I'm glad that your health got better once you had yours out, too!

I'm praying for everyone in this thread. Our Prayer thread before seemed to work miracles, maybe this one will, too.
Could everyone please pray for my best friend's Poppy? He was rushed to the hospital this morning and the doctors haven't been able to figure out what's wrong with him. They think he had a minor stroke. My best friend has already lost her Nanny, and her Poppy lived with her, so if you guys could pray for him.. Also, please pray for my mom and dad. They are having a really horrible summer dealing with my brother and his new group of friends.. it's really a lot to get into. Anyways, if you could say a prayer for my family, that would be amazing. I would definitely miss not seeing this pinned to the top of GD. Second I promise to keep everyone and their loved ones in my thoughts.Third and lastly (why am I listing things???) I have a message from Betsy (sp fairy on DOT...sorry i'm blanking on her new one here ) She hasnt been arond lately b/c she went to dance camp. She e-mail me last night to say hi and stuff and also asked for me to post for her in this thread. She woke up a few days ago and her knee was REALLY hurting her...not a good thing when your at dance camp, trying to dance. Samething happened to her friend, so she asks that everyone pray for her and her friend so they don't have to sit out too much. Thanks!Aria |

Yep, so much better after i had them out. I can't remember if i was in pain after sugery b/c i was talking to the recovery room nurse and trying to convince her that i was awake enough to go to my room (it didn't work). Taylor, Your family and your friends Poppy will be in my thoughts. Betsy, will be thinking about you and your friend. Now for me. Traveling prayers for me. I am going to Colorado for a week leaving on Tuesday at 3:30AM. Its a National Youth Conference with my church. I'm really excited about it. I get to go hiking in the Rockies for one of the days and it is in Ft. Collins, Co. Nicole |

Christine, Poppy has lived without Nanny for 5 years or so. It's been a long time. He was doing fine and thriving. Caroline won't be coming with us on our vacation. They are making plans for her Poppy's funeral. He is going to be buried in NY, where his wife was buried. He hasn't passed away, but aparently the heart attack was very severe. So they don't expect him to be getting any better. So I guess if you guys could continue to pray for her family. Thanks! xoxo, Taylor |
